Driver Insurance Included
All Scotlander campervans include driver insurance cover as part of the campervan hire.
Who Can Drive Our Campervans?
Drivers aged 21 and over with a minimum of two years driving experience are eligible to drive our campervans.
We accept the majority of UK and international driving licences including all European, American, Canadian, South African, Australian and New Zealand licences. Drivers holding licences outside of these areas may still be eligible for insurance cover, however additional approval from our insurers may be required. Please allow additional time before booking for us to confirm eligibility.
Driver Documentation Required
To arrange driver insurance cover, we require the following documentation from all drivers:
- Copy of driving licence
- Two proof of address documents dated within 3 months of departure date.
- DVLA driver summary / check code for UK licences only
- Passport copy for non-UK licence holders
This documentation is only required for drivers of the vehicle.
UK Driving Convictions & Penalty Points
UK drivers must provide a DVLA driver summary / check code before collection.
Drivers with serious driving offences, driving bans or excessive active penalty points may not be accepted by our insurers.
Important Information
Driver insurance cover remains subject to insurer approval. Certain licence types, driving histories or countries of issue may not be accepted by our insurers.
